When you book a ride, we may collect:

  • Pickup and drop-off locations
  • Booking details
  • Payment information (processed through secure third-party providers)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Schedule and confirm rides
  • Communicate pickup updates
  • Process payments
  • Improve service operations
  • Provide customer support

BBR does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

3. SMS & Communication Consent

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive booking-related messages, including confirmations and service updates.

Message and data rates may apply.

By clicking on continue to login, you are agreeing to policies, and we are considering the consent that you have now opted in to receive OTP and Ride updates.

You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

4. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. BBR does not store full credit card numbers on its servers.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information.

6. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The most current version will always be available on our website.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand beach plans can change — especially with weather.
Because we assign drivers in real time, the following policy applies:

Free Cancellation

Cancel within 5 minutes of booking confirmation (before the driver begins traveling to your pickup) and no fee will apply.

Cancellation After Driver Is En Route

If you cancel after the driver has started heading to your pickup location, a cancellation fee may apply.

No-Show

If a driver arrives at the scheduled location and cannot reach you after the designated waiting period, a no-show fee may be applied.

 

This policy helps us remain fair to both passengers and drivers while keeping service reliable for everyone.

ADA Accessibility and Service Animal Notice

Bethany Beach Riders (BBR) is committed to providing safe and respectful transportation services to all customers.

Vehicle Accessibility

At this time, our vehicles are standard passenger vans and are not equipped with specialized ADA accessibility features such as wheelchair lifts, ramps, or securement systems. As a result, we are unable to accommodate passengers who require wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

Service Animals

BBR complies with applicable federal and state laws regarding service animals. Trained service animals are welcome to accompany passengers in our vehicles.

  • Service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times
  • Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless doing so interferes with the animal’s work or the handler’s disability
  • Emotional support, comfort, or therapy animals that are not trained service animals are not permitted

Assistance

Our drivers are happy to provide reasonable assistance, such as helping passengers enter and exit the vehicle or loading personal items, as long as the assistance does not require specialized equipment or create a safety risk.

Beach Gear Policy

For safety and space considerations, umbrellas must be foldable or fully collapsed before boarding. Coolers are permitted only if they can be lifted and handled by the passenger without driver assistance.

Bethany Beach Riders reserves the right to refuse or terminate service to any individual for safety concerns, unlawful conduct, abusive behavior, or failure to comply with company policies. Service will never be denied based on any legally protected characteristic. You’re on beach time. Chill mon.
